Experts from the International Breastfeeding Organisation (IBA) have presented their research findings about breastfeeding, finding that there are more breastfeeding problems around the world than ever before.

“This research confirms the need for breastfeeding to be seen as a public health issue,” said Dr Jochen Korsgaard, the chair of the group.

“It also provides insight into the many ways in which we can work together to help families and partners to address their breastfeeding problems.”

There are many reasons why women are breastfeeding.

Some reasons include: being breastfed by a partner who does not know how to breastfeed, or who has difficulty breastfeeding due to medical conditions.
